MY TERM PAPER #5

Fiber Optics: Its Advantages in Telecommunications

A small fiber optic cable compared to a large copper cable

Our current “age of technology” is the result of many brilliant inventions and discoveries, but it is our ability to transmit information, and the media we use to do it, that is perhaps most responsible for its evolution. Progressing from the copper wire of a century ago to today’s fiber optic cable, our increasing ability to transmit more information, more quickly and over longer distances has expanded the boundaries of our technological development in all areas. Making fiber optics more applied and preferred to the ordinary cable, in one of its growing applications in telecommunications field

Fiber Optics is a branch of optics dealing with the transmission of light through fibers or thin rods of glass, or some other material of high refractive index. Fiber-optic lines are strands of optically pure glass as thin as a human hair that carries digital information over long distances, because it uses light waves making it faster than other medium like the ordinary cable. It is relatively a new technology that is mostly preferred by the telecommunications industries because of its vast advantages compared to the ordinary wires or cables due to its greater information carrying capacity, lower transmission losses and faster delivery of information. It can carry very large amount of data like- thousands and hundreds of phone calls and even television channels, compared to ordinary cable. When choosing optical fibers you can be sure that the delivery of information will be faster, also it cannot be tapped, so you will be secure about the information because of its immunity to interference. It is laid and used for transmitting and receiving purposes. Used to connect users and servers in a variety of network settings and help increase the speed and accuracy of data transmission. Thus it reaches faraway places without any data loss. Thus fiber optics is very essential discovery in technology because of its benefits offered to people.

All I can I say is that "Term Paper writing is indeed a difficult task to do as a student, but at the end of the day still you can learn something from the study and the paper you worked most-at least you can learned and experienced something in making it! :)

MY MOST WATCHED & LISTENED VIDEO :) #3

MY MOST WATCHED &  LISTENED VIDEO :)

Music…? Ahmmn for me all I think is the word “relaxation.” We all know that music is everywhere, it played a major role in our life, and it also affects our moods and feelings. When we are happy we also listen to happy music, when we are sad and heartbroken we listen to sad music just to pour out our emotions. There are also some songs that can thrill your bones when you listened to it, some songs made you to remind someone else-maybe your family or that special someone. Music and songs are the best ways to express one’s thoughts and feelings. Especially when you’re in love, you like to listen to love songs. When you want to lift up your spirit, mind and soul, you may listen to religious songs. Because we Filipinos are best described as music lovers- we express our deepest sentiments through music and songs.

Actually,  I like many songs, but this is the only video I always watched and listened entitled "I SEE YOU LORD" this was sung by Aiza Seguirra.I watch this video specially when I'm sad and I think I feel relieved after viewing this one.  As I read the lines, I really appreciate the song, it made me more aware of the wrong things I've done, and the more I wanted GOD to be the center of my life. listening to this kind of song made me reflects or somehow affects me as a person. every time  I listened to this song I felt im relied from pains, worries and anxieties and misfortune. It is because of the line:

"I see you Lord
In sorrow and in happiness
I see you in the glory
Of sweet success
I see you Lord
Every hour, everyday
I can see you Lord
Whenever I pray"

It made me realized as well as think that above all prayer is very important. Although I literally did not see GOD in reality, I really believed that HE is with me all the time, through sorrows, happiness and success. And I know each and everyone of us is bless if we let GOD in to our life. I really like this song :)

MY UNFORGETTABLE TRIP EVER :)

MY UNFORGETTABLE TRIP EVER :)

Last March 6 & 7, 2011, we the EDSC 120 class of ma’am Rica, together with sir Dan and ma’am Joy Magsayo , visited the bountiful province of Bukidnon. We depart Iligan City at the the cold dawn of Sunday. Along the way, I saw different places, people and specially the beauty of nature with the cool breeze of air…. “After a long time of sitting on the bus, finally, we‘re now in Bukidnon” exclaimed with excitement, we bound at about 9 o’clock and have our breakfast there at CEDAR (Center for Ecological Development and Recreation) located at Brgy. Impalutao, Impasug-ong,Bukidnon. It is a 1,703 hectares eco-tourism site anchoring different species of plants and animals; it has both natural and man-made forests and has different water forms to be found. Our next stop was in Mount Musuan Ecological and Botanical Garden.Mount Musuan  is about 646 meters high. When I know that we will going to climbed up to its peak I thought that I couldn’t make it at all….but thanks God I was able to do it, I couldn’t imagine that I was able to do it. Every step I made, I felt that gravity is pulling me down so much…..but the happiness to be at the top can never be explained…”at last I’m here” when we are at the top, we always took picture of the overlooking beauty of Bukidnon. It was worth remembering experienced.
Next we arrived at the Edlimar resort at Maramag,Bukidnon-“ I reallly like the room we stayed together with my friends.”
Pinamaloy Lake is our next destination, located at Don Carlos,Bukidnon. It is a guitar-shaped man-made freshwater lake. Actually, it is my very first time to saw a lake, so I take the opportunity to have some pictures there together with my friends and the lake looks like really a guitar….how amazing it is. What fascinates me most is our trip at Waig Crystal Spring Resort a 1.6 hectares recreation are with swimming pools, souvenir shops, cafĂ©, and cable cars…how happy it made me when I rode one on the cable car, actually it is my first time and when I walk in the hanging I couldn’t keep on holding I thought that I fell down…but it’s not.
Again, we got back to Edlimar Resort, we prepare our things and have dinner, and then at about 1O pm the class decided to have a night swimming… so swam in the cold water of the pool, really it’s so cool. The after that I take my shower then I and my roommates decide to sleep because we well be early for tomorrow. When I was about to sleep I reminiscing such a wonderful experience on the first day of our trip, so what comes up next in my mind is that “what will happen tomorrow?”…then I sleep.
The next morning March 7, 2011, Monday after we all eat and freshen up we move on the next destination it is at the Monastery of Transfiguration on the top of San Jose Hill in Malaybalay,Bukidnon. I really like the ambiance and aura of the church, it is really beautiful. The architectural design was good; it is a perfect place for couples whom wanted to marry. The place can boost your spiritual senses especially when you read the very first quote when entering the church-“Be still and know that I am God.” We take pictures again and again.
Now this is it…”my most unforgettable place at all” –the Kaamulan Park, located at the heart of the province, this is the place where important events during the Kaamulan Festival was held, all sorts of business was also here-like souvenir items, foods and etc. I am part of the group five and we are assigned to do our activity here, while everyone was busy taking pictures, riding horses…we, our group was also doing our part. When we are all finished, I hurriedly walk…and an accident happens- I will just about to step on; when my foot slipped and I wasn’t able to recover my balance, so I got sat down on that muddy place and got dirty. And I was really ashamed of what have happened because I know that everyone looks at me, I also felt pity of myself…..”hhuhuuuh” but then its life, it’s part of the trip. So, after we had our lunch, we got back to Kaamulan Park to buy some souvenirs- I bought foods, beaded necklaces and bracelets. I was looking for “rambutan and pineapples” but I couldn’t find it and I wasn’t able to buy.
After all the experience, excitement and joys, again we rode in the bus and bid farewell to the place that is once been part of our life. Few hours ago were in Cagayan. There we visit the Ketkai Mall and buy some food and “pasalubong”. I together with Jeanne, Caryl and Rebecca immediately went to the World of Fun located at the second floor…. there we played many games. After we buy things, food and etc.  it is now time to go home. After few hours of we are back in Iligan City. At the end of the day I was so fulfilled with what I’ve experienced there in Bukidnon. It is one my most unforgettable trip ever, specially that I have with my friends with me, my classmates, my teachers and above all the guidance of God Almighty is with us….. I hope that someday it will happen again!!! :)
Good eve and God bless you all!!!

MY BEST ASSET-SMILE:) #1

FIRST OF ALL, I WOULD LIKE TO SAY "MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR".
IF SOMEONE WOULD ASK ME OF "WHAT IS YOUR BEST ASSET?" THEN I WILL ANSWER:"THAT WOULD BE MY SMILE" SINCE AN ASSET FOR ME IS SOMETHING A PERSON CAN HAVE, BE IT A MATERIAL THINGS OR NOT.
EVEN IF I DO NOT LOOK SO GOOD, I FEEL GREAT AND CONFIDENT WHEN I WEAR MY SMILE. FOR ME A SINGLE SMILE GOES A LONG WAY; I BELIEVE THAT WHEN SOMEONE SMILES, IN RETURN OF IT PEOPLE WILL SMILES BACK AT YOU.
DESPITE ALL THE TRIUMPHS, PROBLEMS AND CONFUSIONS; ALWAYS MANAGED TO SMILE-LIKE ME. FOR WHEN I SMILE I FEEL SOOTHE AND RELIEF FROM TRIUMPHS AND CIRCUMSTANCES I'VE EXPERIENCED.
I REMEMBER ONE THING WHEN I WAS IN GRADE SCHOOL, ONE OF MY FRIENDS TOLD ME THAT "MAE, DON'T MIND THOSE WHO TEASE YOU AND DO NOT WORRY TOO MUCH, JUST LOOK AT THEM AND SMILE." FROM THEN ON I MANAGED TO SMILE AND RELAX MYSELF FROM NEGATIVENESS WORRIES. :)

MY VERY FIRST UNFORGETTABLE ESCAPADE #2

           MY VERY FIRST UNFORGETTABLE ESCAPADE

Actually, I’ve never had experienced a long term vacation ever during my childhood days. I’ve been to many places but only here in Iligan City, luckily those experiences are always in me.

Four years ago, it was my very first time to go Cagayan de Oro city. It was in my high school days when I was a first year high school. Since, my science teacher requires us to go with the field trip because it has something to do about the lesson. With my curiosity and willing to go to another place I never been, I insists and really ask my mother to allow me to go to the trip.

The next day, I am very busy in preparing my things for the trip-foods, money and others. There are many things that run on my mind that day, like- if what will happen there, what things am I going to see there and etc.

Then the field trip day came, everyone was so excited, even I can’t hide it. On our way to the trip I saw the different views and spots that are so very beautiful. I even saw the factories along our way, and as far as I remembered, me and my classmates, teachers and others saw a small accident along the way. So, I’m a bit nervous on that. We are so noisy inside the bus and very busy chatting to each other, some are singing some are so very braggart that they told us that they’ve gone in that place. We also eat inside the bus, some also are sleeping, but I am not sleepy that time because I don’t want to miss everything along the way.

When we arrived there at the destination- “MACAHAMBUS CAVE AND PARK” I am so amazed with what I saw. We’re all very excited to get inside the cave. It was very dark, gloomy and cold inside it. I’m a little bit afraid but still I am willing to continue to go inside. I saw a bat, but not just a bat, but many, many bats inside! Unluckily, it rained yesterday, so it was slippery in the destination. After we got inside the cave, we rest for a while inside the bus and take our lunch and have some refreshments. Our next destination was the SM Mall in CdO. So I am excited so went there and buy some “pasalubongs” to my friends and for my mother. I was also amazed that mall is very big, because that time there is still no mall yet here in Iligan City.

We ride back to the bus after, on our way back to school. We are so busy again chatting about the trip. When we arrived in Iligan City, it was quiet late at night. The driver dropped us at the school. Lastly, we bid goodbye to our friends as we go to our respective houses. When I arrived in the house I am so very talkative to my mother and told her what had happened on the trip. So I’m very happy and satisfied that day.
